Eloi Derôme works by dismantling and deconstructing painting, reconstructing the artwork by sculpting on the canvas. This process approaches painting and sculpture with the same gesture: a sculpted abstraction of oil painting on canvas. Along with New York, London, and Paris, his work has been notably exhibited in Cape Town, Oslo, Berlin, Amsterdam, Strasbourg, Denver, Seattle, and Chicago.

Currently based in Paris, Claudia De La Hoz, born in Colombia and grew up on the Caribbean coast, surrounded by tropical birds that inspire her work. She moved to Paris in 2000 to study art, initially pursuing a career in interior architecture and decoration before eventually focusing primarily on her art which embodies softness, liberty, and femininity.
Her works have been featured in magazines like Vogue USA, Architectural Digest, and Madame Figaro. She has exhibited in galleries across London, Miami, New York, and Paris, and has been represented by esteemed establishments including La Maison Pierre Frey.

Nathalie De Corte grew up between two cultures: Germanic and Latin. Her Germanic heritage fostered a deep connection with nature and philosophy, while her Latin influences nurtured a love for storytelling and lyricism. This unique blend led her to a style of painting that is closely intertwined with writing, drawing inspiration from the botanical world to convey the conditions of nature and light. Nathalie has always been deeply engaged in the visual arts, and her works have been exhibited in various shows across Europe and, more recently, in Asia.

This is a monograph of Nathalie De Corte, a contemporary Belgian artist born in Ghent in 1970. It documents her work beginning in 2020, when a powerful strain of poetic writing became evident in her painting. Nathalie De Corte is of Flemish origin, spent her youth in Germany but now resides in the French-speaking part of Belgium, where she teaches painting. This linguistic and cultural mix has given rise to her visual language, composed of aggregates of idioms. The monograph features numerous reproductions of her paintings accompanied by poetic phrases that emerge from them. Ecem Y. Cicek has contributed a critical analysis at the end of a book which provides a nearly exhaustive overview of Nathalie De Corte’s pictorial research.
